Annette Funicello (born Annette Funicello) was an American actress, singer. The most well-known part of her career was "one of the very first Mouseketeers" from The Mickey Mouse Club. She began singing when she was a teenager, and later became famous for her hit tracks "Tall Paul" and "Pineapple Princess." Born and raised in Utica, to Italian parents who were immigrants from Italy, Annette was a shy child. In an effort to create an impression within the entertainment industry her first step was to begin dancing and perform. In the mid-1950s, she received a lot of attention due to her roles on "Disney" sketch shows. Annette's 'Disney persona was shed at the age of 18 when she started playing roles for adults. Being one of the first performers, Annette was credited as the first to introduce the "beach" party genre. The films she appeared in included "How to Stuff a Wild Bikini.' Pajama Party.' and Beach Party. In addition, she continued to produce music albums. Annette was initially diagnosed with MS in 1992. The year 2013 was the year she passed away from the illness.
